Roman Walker took 5 wickets in the warm-up match against India. He made Rohit Sharma, Hanuma Vihari, Ravindra Jadeja, Shardul Thakur and Virat Kohli his victims.
Before this week, Indian fans would hardly have heard the name of Roman Walker, but the 21-year-old bowler became an overnight star for Leicestershire with a tremendous performance against India. Walker, who hails from Wales, has not played a first-class match yet, but he left no stone unturned to trouble the Indian batsmen in the warm-up match. Be it Rohit Sharma or Virat Kohli. Everyone was trapped by this bowler in his net. He took 5 wickets for 24 runs in 11 overs in the first innings. He made Rohit Sharma, Hanuma Vihari, Ravindra Jadeja, Shardul Thakur and Virat Kohli his prey.
Phone bells started ringing after Kohli was dismissed
Walker became an overnight star by dismissing former Indian captain Kohli. Since sending Kohli to the pavilion, the bells of his phone have been ringing continuously. Talking to Fox TV, he said that everyone wants to play against a strong team like India. It was fantastic. Surprised to take 5 wickets. Some of my friends messaged and said that Virat Kohli’s wicket would be a good story to tell to grandchildren.

Enjoyed batting with Pant
Walker had added 70 runs in the first innings with Rishabh Pant. In fact, many players including Pant, Cheteshwar Pujara are also playing for Leicestershire in this warm-up match. Both Pant and Walker together added 70 runs in the first innings. Talking about Pant, Walker said that it was fun to bat with him. His dealings with the Leicestershire players were amazing. Whenever Pant plays a shot, he smiles and even when he misses, he keeps on laughing.
