With the increase in online food orders, delivery boys have also increased. Many youth earn income by working as delivery boys under part time job. There are many challenges to be faced in order to deliver food on time. The orders have to be delivered to the customers on time by crossing obstacles like sun, rains and traffic. Recently, a video of a disabled person delivering food while sitting in a wheelchair has gone viral on social media. Netizens are praising the person for his hard work and perseverance.

37-year-old Ganesh Murugan from Chennai works as a food delivery agent at Zomato. He is disabled. Sitting in a wheelchair, he delivers orders and pulls a cart for a living. He created a record as the first wheelchair delivery boy in the country. Ganesh, who is unable to walk, shared a video on YouTube of him sitting in a wheelchair and giving orders. For the past four days, this video has been doing the rounds on the net. Netizens are reposting these and calling them ‘a true example of great inspiration’. He is praised for his courage and determination. He also praised Zomato for providing employment to Ganesh.

Murugan was confined to a wheelchair due to spinal cord injury in an accident six years ago. But that made him resolute. Murugan’s life story was first shared on Twitter by Chhattisgarh IPS officer Dipanshu Kabra in June. It is hailed as an inspiration to all those who stop fighting against difficulties and raise their hands. And Murugan’s wheelchair was designed by an IIT startup in Madras. If it is fully charged for four hours, it can travel a distance of 25 km.
