Today Weather Forecast: After the rains in the country’s capital Delhi, Haryana, Uttar Pradesh, Punjab and Madhya Pradesh, the cold weather continues. Meanwhile, dense fog is increasing the difficulty. There is fog in the sky in many states of North India including Delhi, Punjab, Rajasthan. It has become so cold that I feel chills.

According to the Meteorological Department (IMD), dense fog has occurred in Punjab, Haryana, Chandigarh, Delhi and North Rajasthan. Visibility reached up to 25 meters in Amritsar, Chandigarh, Hisar due to fog, while in Patiala, Ambala, Palam, Dehradun, Prayagraj, Guna, Bhagalpur it was visible only up to 50 meters due to fog.

Low Visibility Due to Fog

There is a haze of fog in the sky in the middle of winter in the national capital Delhi. Visibility up to 50 meters was recorded in Palam area today (Tuesday) at 6.30 am. The national capital was covered with fog on Wednesday morning and the minimum temperature was recorded at 7 degrees Celsius. The Meteorological Department has predicted foggy and cloudy sky throughout the day.

Let us inform that after the rain, there has been fog in many areas of North India including Delhi-NCR, Punjab, Haryana since the last day i.e. Monday. The IMD had already predicted that after the rains due to Western Disturbance, the entire North-West India will see severe cold and fog.

According to the IMD’s forecast, Delhi will see moderate to dense fog till January 14. At the same time, the minimum temperature (Delhi temperature) can be 6-7 degrees while the maximum temperature can be 20-21 degrees Celsius.

According to the System of Air Quality and Weather Forecasting and Research (SAFAR), the Air Quality Index (AQI) in Delhi is in the satisfactory category. Delhi recorded an average AQI of 93 in the morning of today (Tuesday) i.e. January 11, 2022, which comes under the satisfactory category.

The AQI is ‘good’ between zero and 50, ‘satisfactory’ between 51 and 100, ‘moderate’ between 101 and 200, ‘poor’ between 201 and 300, ‘very poor’ between 301 and 400 and Between 401 and 500 are considered in the ‘severe’ range. According to the India Meteorological Department (IMD), the air quality is expected to improve after the rains in Delhi.

According to the information received from the Meteorological Department, due to the cold wave going on for the next five days, people will suffer cold.
