Heavy snowfall warning issued for five days
The State Meteorological Department has issued a warning of heavy snowfall in the intermediate and high altitude areas of the state for the next 5 days. State Meteorological Department director Surendra Pal said that a western disturbance has become active, whose effect will be seen in the state. He said that it has been snowing in the higher reaches for the last 24 hours. Also, good snowfall is expected in the intermediate areas. After the fresh snowfall, a sharp drop in temperature is being recorded. The temperature will drop further in the coming days as well. It is clear that the outbreak of cold wave will increase. The minimum temperature in Shimla remains in the range of 2 to 3 degrees. But the lowest temperature was recorded at minus 11 degree in Keylong of district Lahaul Spiti.

Rain starts in UP from today
