YSR Rythu Bharosa Scheme
The Govt. of Andhra Pradesh launched the YSR Rythu Bharosa scheme on 15th October 2019. Under this scheme, the farmers will receive monetary support every year. Similar to the PM Kisan Samman Nidhi central scheme, the state of Andhra Pradesh is supporting the farmers. All the farmers cultivating in the Andhra Pradesh state are eligible for the scheme.
The AP Rythu Bharosa scheme provides a total of Rs.13,500 to the beneficiaries. The applicants will receive the amount in three installments. The first installment is Rs.7500 which is for the Kharif season. For the Rabi season, the second installment of Rs.4000 will be deposited. The third installment is for Sankranthi which will be Rs.2000.

Rythu Bharosa Payment Status
The Govt. of Andhra Pradesh has spent an amount of Rs.6534 crores approximately till now. Three installments have been released by the government till now with Rs.3,657 crores, Rs.1,115 crores, and Rs.1,009 respectively. Each beneficiary receives the amount through the Direct Bank Transfer (DBT) method.
Benefits Of YSR Rythu Bharosa Scheme
- Rs.13,500 Rythu Bharosa per year. This scheme is applicable for 5 years, therefore, the total amount will be Rs.67,500 for five years.
- Other than the landowners, the tenant farmers will receive Rs.2500 per year.
- The farmers of Andhra Pradesh can get a loan with zero percent interest from the banks.
- Under YSR Nine Hours Free Power Supply scheme, the farmers will receive 9 hours of free current every day.
- A free borewell facility is also available for all the farmers. They don’t even have to pay the road tax for the tractors.
- The farmers will get life insurance of Rs.5 lakh. A premium of this insurance is also free. The insurance will be given to the farmer’s family.
- The pending irrigation projects in the state will be taken care of by the Government of Andhra Pradesh.
Rythu Bharosa Three Phases
The AP Rythu Bharosa scheme provides a total of Rs.13,500 to the beneficiaries. The applicants will receive the amount in three installments. As per Kharif, Rabi, and Sankranthi, the amounts are transferred respectively. Here are the latest Rythu Bharosa installments.

First Installment Phase
The first installment of the Rythu Bharosa scheme was deposited by CM Jagananna on May 15, 2020. An amount of Rs.7500 was transferred to each beneficiary’s bank account directly. Around 50 lakh farmers received the funds. It is estimated that more than Rs.3657 crores were spent.
Second Installment
Similarly, for the second installment, the government spent Rs.1,115 crores and deposited Rs.4000. An estimation of 50.47 lakh farmers received the amount directly in their bank accounts successfully. The second installment took place on October 27, 2020.
Third Installment
For the third installment, a total amount of Rs.1,009 crores was deposited into the farmers’ accounts. Each candidate received an Rs.2000 installment respectively. An estimation of 50.47 lakh people got financial support. The third installment was done successfully on 29th December 2020.
Eligibility Criteria For Rythu Bharosa Scheme
Below are the eligibility criteria to get the Rythu Bharosa funds. The tenant farmers will get only Rs.2500 per year unlike the owners of the land.
- The beneficiary must be a legal and permanent resident of Andhra Pradesh state.
- Should be the owner of an agriculture or cultivation land of at least 5 acres.
- Small marginal and tenant farmers are also eligible.
- Should have the legal documents of the land.
Excluded People For the Rythu Bharosa Scheme
These are the excluded people for the YSR Rythu Bharosa scheme. Even if these candidates have land of 5 acres, they are still ineligible for the funds.
- All institutional landholders, former and present constitutional holders are not eligible.
- You can’t apply if you are a former or present State minister, LokSabha member, or RajyaSabha member.
- Similarly, all the Legislative Assemblies, Councils, Mayors, Panchayat heads are ineligible.
- If you are a current or retired employee of Central/State Govt, you are not eligible. This excludes Multi Tasking Staff /Class IV/Group D employees.
- All retired pensioners with a pension of Rs.10,000/- are not eligible.
- Doctors, engineers, lawyers, and other registered employees are ineligible.
